From the sponge toss to the scrumptious food and drink, from the mega raffle to the arts and crafts, from the music and dancing to the every-generation appeal, the Community Outreach Benefit is a broad brush stroke of the spirit and ingenuity of human kindness and gathering of multi-generations.
With something to do, see, feel and experience for everyone, this one day in July is fun for the entire family and its final end is an uplifting of heavy hearts as recipients reap the benefits of many months of planning, preparation and commitment.
Over eight years with "enjoyment and entertainment" as the theme, the COB Block Party has proven to be just the right recipe for service to community.
Thanks and heartfelt gratitude fall short in applauding the exceptional efforts of hundreds and hundreds of volunteers and the participation of a community that truly does have a heart of gold.
